Round 3, Round 4 and Mini Spool
Managed 4th outright and 3rd in class DO (4wd Open) again in May's round 3.
The rear RS diff was due for a rebuild for sometime now, it stopped locking probably 3-4 events ago I guessed it was probably worned plates. When I took the diff apart it looked like one of the end spring plates was replaced with a friction disc instead. I assume this was done to reduce the preload.
I would have just rearranged the plate order. But the thing is whoever did this before me had the extra friction plate in wrong order and was rotating against the case!!! thus wearing into it taking material off. So the case is pretty much a write off.
Chance of getting a replacement spring plate before the next round didn't look good. So I reassembled the case with mini spool for round 4. FULLY LOCKED 100%!!!
Anyway, with the locked rear diff I headed for Round 4 and managed 1st place outright! the weather had a lot to do with it though. Faster guys had to endure the rain in the afternoon session while I was lucky enough dry morning runs.

Barbagallo Anzac day sprint
Had another crack at Barbagallo on both long and short track and managed to set new PB's for both.
Although the new times set aren't bad but I felt there was alot more in reserve that could have been extracted with more seat time, only been out on Barbagallo twice in 2 years.
With a bit of work on the rear diff and suspension, I think low 54's on short track is achievable on 300hp.
But not sure about cracking 53, 400hp+ might make the job easier, well there's only one way to find out I guess.
On the long track morning session, this was my 1st time I've really had a proper go at it. Definitely room for improvement there. Brake and Entry into the basin and turn 7 are the obvious places I'll need to work on, I wasn't prepared to find the limits of my braking system so early in the day though.

Brembo Painting
Finally got around to putting some fresh coat on the sad looking Brembo calipers. Was relatively easier to do then I thought. Dupli-color caliper paint went on well and dried pretty quick.
At the same time, I've adjusted the pad play in the calipers, some pads were knocking around a bit.
I don't use anti-rattle clips, instead I adjust the tension on soft metal tabs that grab the pads in the calipers.

A050's after 2012 season
Photos of A050's in medium compound after 2012 season of sprints.
This is after 7x MC sprints and 1x Barbagallo sprint.
They were flipped on the rim after 4th event.
Running 30-32psi front and 28psi rear.
-3.5degree front camber & -2 degree rear camber.
Grip level is still 80+% 1 year after 1st heat cycle, keeping them indoor helps.
I ran Dunlop DZ03G's with -4.5/-3.5 degrees and in hindsight A050's might have benefited with more camber at Barbagallo.
If the fronts were pushed into understeer the edges scalloped on the tread and centre line wear was high, time to flip on the rim.

Stroker build dyno result
Had the car back for few weeks now but haven't really had a chance to properly drive it yet. However, it went back to Race Torque today for a re-tune after I found the metal cat had melted and collapsed inside. The guys fixed the problem for me and re-tuned it yielding 227kw and 440Nm @approx 1.2bar in 40 degree heat.
So a nice round figure of 300hp with lowish boost, more importantly plenty of torque where it counts, quite happy with the result, now let's see if this translates to better times on the track.

Few typos on the printout with my name and should read 2.3 as capacity |
